The 14th Annual Adams County Irish Festival
Saturday, July 20, 2013
10:00am - 5:00pm

With a full day of Irish music, dancers, food, merchandise, and more, the 14th annual Adams County Irish Festival offers wholesome family fun while benefiting local hunger-relief charities. The festival is held rain or shine in the shady grove of the Gettysburg Moose Park (100 Moose Road), conveniently located just off US Rt. 30, approximately 1.5 miles east of the US Rt. 15 Intersection in Straban Township.

Since 2000, Adams Countys only Irish Festival has staged some of the biggest names in the Irish music scene including Danny Doyle, Derek Warfield, Cathie Ryan, John Whelan and Tommy Makem.

Back by popular demand to headline this years festival is Irish entertainer extraordinaire Seamus Kennedy. Originally from Belfast, The Irrepressible Seamus Kennedy is an Irish singer, songwriter, musician and comedian who has been entertaining audiences across America for over 30 years. With a ready wit, a vast store of songs and a penchant for ongoing audience interaction, Kennedy is a master showman of exceptional musical skills and unmatched repartee that will appeal to people of all ages.

Also featured are the Kilmaine Saints, a high-energy band known for bagpipes and modern versions of traditional Irish songs, who will be making their Festival debut. Visitors to the festival will also be entertained by regional favorites Irishtown Road, Across the Pond and Tom Jolin. Additionally, the Coyle School of Irish Dance will be performing.

Admission to the festival is still only $10, which includes all entertainment. Children under 12 are admitted free and there is no charge to park. This years festival will benefit local hunger-relief charities.

South-central Pennsylvania is traditionally known for being an area of the State populated by German immigrants but what is less known (and celebrated) is its Irish heritage. Join us in historic Gettysburg for a day of music, dance, food, and more in celebrating the area's Irish heritage.

Festival visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and/or blankets to sit on.

The Adams County Irish Festival is produced and presented by the Irish Heritage Foundation of Gettysburg, an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
