Raining HeartsPhiladelphia, PA www.myspace.com/rainingheartsband Raining Hearts was formed as a hub for all the vocal and lyrical theatrics the Brewer sisters came up with in everyday wackiness. This, their eponymous debut CD, is the ticket that defines Raining Hearts as an actual band. Though only seven songs long, the Raining Hearts CD tracks the past five years in these young girls' blossoming singing and writing career. Scotlyn co-wrote and recorded "Valentine's Day" with her dad when she was merely nine, and sang Nell Flaherty's Drake that same year. Good samplings of her latest vocal expertise can be heard on "Do You Love An Apple?" or her other co-write, "Pretty Sled Dogs". Middle sister CoCo co-penned and provided lead vocal for the infectious lead track, "Celtic Girl", while youngest sib Claire provided ample rhythm and drums for various tracks. In addition to piano, guitar, flute, and tinwhistle, the girls sing their own background harmonies, with the exception of "Wild Mountain Thyme", in which Mom and Dad lend vocal layers as well, making it a true family affair. |
